Ellen Weiss is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist dedicated to promoting the power of the human voice both as a performer and an educator. Her musical expression goes beyond genre, always dedicated first to reaching the heart; her strong lyrical voice is at home with many styles of music from the great jazz standards to musical theatre to folk, pop and blues.
Her performing career reflects her love of varied styles of music, appearing in New York City at the Triad Lounge, Caffe Vivaldi, Don’t Tell Mama, The Bitter End, and The Omni Park Central Hotel. Her passion is to create a palpable energy shift in the room, a space that can stir emotions and reflect dreams.
Ellen’s many theatrical productions include an original Fringe Festival musical called “Barcode”. She can also be heard as back up vocalist on Brian Kramer’s blues album, “Strike While it’s Hot” where she also acted as vocal coach. Ellen was a member of the contemporary folk music group “Water Sign” for 10 years, which produced an award winning self-titled CD.
